Add Linky to your server
Use the invite, choose a server you manage, and authorize Linky. Hosting is included.

Post a supported link in a selected channel. Linky checks the preview before removing the original. Choose Reply mode to keep both.

To enable Linky, you must own the server or have Administrator or Manage Server permission. Check permissions.
A few useful things to know
Why is Linky quiet after I add it?
Linky sends no welcome message and starts disabled. A server admin enables it through Discord's command menu. The setup guide shows exactly what to select.
Can I use it without adding a bot to my server?
Yes. Add Linky to your account, then use /fix link: or a message's Apps → Fix with Linky action where Discord permits it. Personal commands keep the source and do not monitor your conversations.
Can I keep the original message?
Yes. An admin can choose /settings mode:reply to keep it and receive a reply. The default Replace mode checks the repost before removing the original. Manual fixes and Retry keep the source message. Choose your server's settings.
What does Linky add to YouTube?
Compact counts beneath the native video, with buttons for exact counts and a top comment in private replies. YouTube buttons expire after 24 hours. Admins can choose preview only, counts, or counts plus comment. YouTube details.
Does it translate Discord messages?
Optional English translation is available for tweets and Instagram captions when enabled by the operator and your server. General chat, TikTok captions and text inside images are unchanged.
What if a preview does not load?
Linky tries an alternate provider where one is available. If the preview still fails, your original stays with a Retry button. An admin can run /diagnose link: in that channel. Troubleshoot a link.
Can I see why a preview is taking time?
Slow media jobs show their current stage, including queueing and waiting for Discord. On a public preview, channel members can open Details in a reply visible only to themselves, for up to seven days. Private-response and DM Details stay requester-only. A metadata confirmation does not prove playback on your device. Read a delivery result.
Does the hosted bot support Erome?
No. Erome requires your own Linky instance and hosting. On a self-hosted instance, a configured gallery starts with the first video, or a JPEG/PNG image when the album has no video. Members who can view and send messages and are not timed out can use Load next item, up to 10 items and 192 MiB total. The control expires after 24 hours or a bot restart; already published items remain. Album limits and quality.
Can I skip or remove a repost?
Use /autofix enabled:false to pause your automatic fixes in this server, or !nolinky for one message. Only the original sharer can use Remove on an automatic preview; manual previews belong to their requester. Replies follow edits and deletions of the original for up to 30 days.
Can I run my own copy?
Yes. The hosted bot is free to add, and the source is public. Follow the self-hosting guide if you want to run your own instance.
