Linky rewrites supported URLs in new messages from people. It keeps surrounding text, attribution and supported attachments, strips query strings from rewritten links, and preserves URL fragments.

Accepted mobile subdomains are removed when the preview provider needs its main domain. A rewritten short TikTok URL may still depend on the original redirect and the provider resolving it.

English tweet translation
When the operator enables translation, Linky requests an English version through the FxEmbed API. Translated text replaces the original text in Linky's presentation, with a small note naming the source language. Media stays with the post.
Long translations can continue across cards or use a text attachment. A failed lookup falls back to the native preview. Translation can be wrong; use the original post when the exact wording matters.
Translation is an operator-level option. It applies to tweets, not general Discord chat, Instagram captions or TikTok captions.
Message limits
Linky skips unsupported message types, including polls, stickers, forwards, pinned messages, voice messages and thread starters. Bots, webhooks, DMs, old messages and edits do not trigger replacement.
Linky checks attachment copies and the original message before deleting it. When a safe replacement cannot be completed, it leaves the original. Discord sends and deletes are separate requests, so errors can leave duplicates.
External services
Preview services and Discord control the final embed. Deleted, private, restricted or temporarily unavailable posts may not render. Linky cannot promise that every rewritten URL will show a playable preview.
