LinkyDiscord permissions for Linky
Linky needs permission to replace a shared message safely. The invite requests seven bot permissions; it does not request Administrator.

In Reply mode, Linky keeps the original and does not require Manage Messages or copy its attachments. Attach Files is still needed if a long tweet translation needs a text file. Choose Reply or Replace.
Who can enable Linky #
The person using /setup, /settings or /diagnose must own the server or have Administrator or Manage Server permission. Setup checks permission on each panel action. If that is not you, ask an admin to enable Linky, or add its manual commands to your account. Linky itself does not need Administrator. Administrative command replies are private; manual fixes can post in chat where you have permission.
Choose the channels #
Use /setup to choose specific channels or All channels. Selected parent channels include accessible threads. Channel and category overrides still determine what Linky can see and do; the panel cannot grant Discord permissions. Run /diagnose in the affected channel to check the effective result.
A permission granted on the bot's server role can still be denied by a channel override. Check effective permissions in the affected channel, including @everyone and the Linky role.
In Discord, open the affected channel's settings and choose Permissions. Check whether Linky's role can view the channel, send messages, embed links, attach files and manage messages. In threads, also check Send Messages in Threads. A server-wide enable command cannot override a channel denial.
Message Content Intent #
The bot needs Discord's Message Content Intent to find supported links in ordinary messages. It does not need Server Members Intent. Self-hosted instances must enable Message Content Intent in their own Discord application.
